Andrey BUSHEV

Born on 12 February 1966 in Leningrad (presently St Petersburg). In 1988 graduated from the law faculty of the Leningrad State University named after A. Zhdanov (presently the St Petersburg State University). Associate (since 1996) and associate professor (since 2000) of the chair of commercial law of the St Petersburg State University. Acting Head of the chair of civil law of the same University since 2019. Defended the candidate of sciences thesis entitled "Corporate Stock under the Russian Federation Legislation". Actively combined scientific and pedagogical work with practice. On numerous occasions he presented reports and lectures at foreign universities. Ad hoc judge of the European Court of Human Rights. Since 2009 - an arbitrator of the International Commercial Arbitration Court and the Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Authored more than a hundred works on the issues of commercial and civil law, international law, economics and law, including those written in foreign languages. On 8 June 2022, was appointed the Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation​ by the Council of the Federation upon proposal of the President of the Russian Federation V. Putin.
